Salary Range Effective July 1, 2024 $38.09-$48.61 per hour

This position reports to the Administration Supervisor and is part of the District’s administrative team.
Duties: Under general supervision, performs a wide variety of skilled tasks in the installation, repair, and maintenance of wastewater treatment plant mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment; and performs other duties as assigned. This is the journeyman level Plant Maintenance Technician responsible for handling the more complex maintenance and repair duties.

Four years’ experience in the wastewater field in the repair and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment such as pumps, motors, valves, and engines; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
The Goleta Sanitary District is a regional collection, treatment, and resource recovery facility serving the Goleta Valley. We partner with the Goleta West Sanitary District, the City of Santa Barbara Municipal Airport, UC Santa Barbara, and the County of Santa Barbara in collecting, treating, and reclaiming resources at our Water Resource Recovery Facility.
