The City of Ontario (pop. 181,224) is located approximately 35 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, with direct access to the I-10, I-210, and I-15 freeways. Reporting to the Executive Director of Community Life & Culture, the Recreation/Community Services Director oversees youth, teen, adult, and senior services, facility reservations, park programming, sports, special events, and aquatics. The Director is supported by 37 full-time and up to 300 part-time employees with a $15.5 million annual budget.
