THE POSITION The Operator II position works under the supervision of the Chief Plant Operator, primarily at the Districts wastewater treatment facility (WWTF) and the Water Department Manager, primarily at well sites. Sewer Department duties include but are not limited to: monitoring wastewater treatment operations and equipment, performing required sampling and lab work, operating and maintaining WWTF equipment, performing mathematical calculations as required by assigned duties, maintaining records, preparing reports, and performing inspections of facilities and equipment at the WWTF. Other duties include, conducting maintenance on the District’s sewer collection system and having a general understanding of the Districts pretreatment operations.
