The Georgetown Divide Public Utility District (“District”) is recruiting a highly motivated and reliable individual to join our team of dedicated employees to fill one full time Water Treatment Plant Operator II position with the District, located at 6245 Main Street, in Georgetown, California. THE POSITION:
Positions in the Water Treatment Plant Operator II classification are responsible for performing water treatment plant operations, wastewater assignments, and distribution system maintenance work. Under close supervision from appropriate department, positions maintain, repair, and modify equipment used in the treatment and purification of water;operate, maintain, inspect, and respond to emergencies in the district’s wastewater system; and perform distribution system maintenance, installation, and repair assignments.
LICENSE CERTIFICATE REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT:
Must possess a minimum of a California Class C driver’s license with a good driving record as evidenced by freedom from multiple or serious traffic violations or accidents.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Must possess a minimum of a T2 Water Treatment Plant Operator Certificate issued by the State Water Resources Control Board or have completed pre-requisites for state certification (i.e. passed California Water Board Grade T2 examination).
A D2 Distribution Operator Certificate issued by the State Water Resources Control Board is preferred or will be required to obtain within the first (12) months of employment.
Must obtain training necessary to inspect, operate and respond to emergencies within the wastewater system within the first (12) months of employment.
The Georgetown Divide Public Utility District (District) serves communities in western El Dorado County among the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range, in the heart of the Mother Lode.
