Under supervision of the Chief Plant Operator, the Wastewater/Water Distribution Operator II operates and maintains wastewater treatment, water distribution and wastewater collection system equipment, machinery, buildings, and grounds and performs related duties as required. The Wastewater/Water Operator II is a full working, journey level class. On a day-to-day basis, incumbents perform the full range of tasks associated with operations and maintenance of water distribution, sewer collection and wastewater treatment plant equipment. Assignments may include emergency actions that require the Wastewater/Water Operator II to use independent judgment, initiative and perform essential activities within established operational parameters.
