Under direction, this at-will, exempt, managerial position conducts public outreach, awareness, and education programs to promote awareness of vectors and control operations of the District; conveys news, information, events, meetings, and other services to District staff and the community; and performs other related duties as required. The Public Information Manager is responsible for the communications program including government coordination, media relations, public outreach and education, and enhancement of inter-office communications. This position is also responsible for information on the District website. The incumbent supervises, trains, counsels, evaluates and disciplines departmental staff.
