The position of General Manager for the Kensington Fire Protection District (District) is one of those rare opportunities to which professionals gravitate. Located in the beautiful East Bay hills of Northern California, the Kensington Fire Protection District has an exciting part-time career opportunity (typically 50-70%, variable as needed) of General Manager (GM). The ideal candidate will have a MS or BA/BS degree in a related field, and 3-5 years of applicable management experience with demonstrated organizational leadership, supervision, strategic thinking, and abilities in public interactions. A combination of education, experience, and relevant knowledge and abilities may also qualify candidates.

These will not be the only qualifications, but demonstrated experience in public administration, finances, and governance will be important pre-requisites.
