Under general supervision, this class is responsible for organizing, coordinating and directing the work of maintenance staff and construction personnel, and independently performs skilled mechanical maintenance and repair work on a wide variety of pumps, motors, valves, compressors, piping systems, related water treatment and distribution equipment and facilities.
Salary: 147, 201.60/ Yearly
Experience:
The equivalent of three years of increasingly responsible full-time experience in the maintenance of mechanical equipment components in water treatment and distribution systems.
License:
Possession of a valid California driver’s license.
Other Requirements:
Must be willing to work in exposure to potentially hazardous materials, in confined spaces, and outdoors in all weather conditions. Must possess strength sufficient to perform work assignments. Must be willing to respond to emergencies in off-hours as required.
Zone 7 Water Agency supplies treated drinking water to retailers serving approximately 260,000 residents and businesses in Pleasanton, Livermore, Dublin and, through special agreement with the Dublin San Ramon Services District, the Dougherty Valley area of San Ramon. Zone 7 also supplies untreated irrigation water (mostly to vineyards) and provides flood protection to eastern Alameda County.
