Associate Engineer - $57.60 - $77.17 per hour

The Napa Sanitation District is currently accepting applications for one full-time position of Junior, Assistant and Associate Engineer. The ideal applicant would have professional registration and experience in the design of wastewater treatment facilities and collection systems and will be hired at the Associate level. We may hire at the Junior or Assistant level depending on the qualifications of the applicants, so we encourage all levels to apply.
The position will involve a great degree of independence, significant responsibility and an opportunity for professional development managing many projects involving operation optimization, studies and facility design. See attached job descriptions for more details.

Education and Experience: All positions require graduation from a four-year college or university with major coursework in civil engineering or related engineering field.
Junior Engineer – No experience required.
Assistant Engineer - One year experience in field or office engineering technical support or drafting which has provided knowledge of such areas as engineering drafting, surveying, map checking, and basic engineering design.
Associate Engineer - Three years of professional engineering design, plan review and project administration experience, preferably in public agency setting.
License or Certificate: Possession of a valid Class “C” California Driver’s License. Junior Engineer: No license or certification required. Assistant Engineer:possession of an Engineering-in-Training (EIT) Certificate. Associate Engineer: Must possess registration as a professional Engineer as issued by the State of CA.
