The Buyer will report directly to the District CFO and work on a variety of procurement activities including: developing and administering Request for Proposals (RFPs) District-wide, administering the competitive bidding process, managing District contracts, reviewing insurance requirements, and enforcing public-sector procurement policies and regulations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Buyer
Education: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by college level course work or specialized training in public administration, business administration, or a related field. An associate degree is highly desirable.
Experience: Three (3) years of increasingly responsible procurement experience, including administering RFPs and managing agency/company contracts, preferably in a public-sector agency.
Senior Buyer
Education: Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration or a related field.
Experience: Five (5) years of increasingly responsible advanced procurement experience, including administering RFPs and managing agency/company contracts, preferably in a public-sector agency.
Certifications and Licenses: Valid class “C” California Driver’s License and a satisfactory driving record.
