This is a Lead level position, which performs activities related to the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater systems. This position performs a full range of tasks and works under direction within a framework of established procedures. At this level, incumbents work under instructions from the Chief Plant Operator. Major discipline (Wastewater) - is the field of treatment which the employee is assigned to perform the majority of the time. Minor discipline (Water) - is the field of treatment which the employee is assigned to perform the minority of the time. Operate and maintain wastewater collection, treatment, and disposal facilities.

Minimum Requirements: Must have a current valid class C California driver’s license and possession of State of California Grade 3 in their major field of discipline (wastewater) and State of California Grade 1 in their minor field of discipline (water).
Olivehurst Public Utility District (OPUD) is a special district which was formed in 1948. OPUD provides water, wastewater, and maintains and operates over 50 acres of parks for the communities of Olivehurst and Plumas Lake. OPUD also provides fire protection and streetlights for the community of Olivehurst.
