DefinitionThe successful applicant, under supervision, operates, monitors and maintains all plantequipment and components, including but not limited to; pumps, valves, gearboxes, fans,blowers, aerators, flow controls; reads and interprets meters, gauges and charts; maintains and upgrades mechanical electrical systems. Distinguishing CharacteristicsThe incumbent performs the duties of the Wastewater Plant Operator II which includes conducting regular on-site inspections of plant and system operations making appropriate adjustments to process controls ensuring that operational problems are identified and corrected; ensures that the plant is operating within safety standardsestablished by the City's National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES
