The District is seeking energetic, self-motivated and proactive candidates for the position of General Manager. This is a part-time, 24 hours per week position. The General Managers position is an at-will position and classified as management under contract. Schedule is flexible. This position could be a perfect fit for a retiree or semiretired person looking to add income to an existing part-time employment situation.
Qualifications: Any skill set that provides for the ability to successfully perform the duties of this position, including education and experience. Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Public or Business Administration Or related field is desired. A minimum of 5 years' experience in State Service/Public Agency or Private Industry in a management or supervision position.
Certification: Possession of a Wastewater Operator 1 Certificate or higher is desired.
Job Requirements: Ability to prepare and manage budgets, possess written and oral communication skills, ability to deal with the public and governmental agencies, ability to manage, supervise, train and motivated district personnel, ability to seek out, write and manage grants, knowledge of QuickBooks, Microsoft Word and Excel programs, and the ability to provide excellent customer service to the community. Ability to maintain a constructive and harmonious relationship with the Board of Directors and enforce the goals, objectives, policies and ordinances of the Board. Ability to conduct research, perform studies, develop reports and make oral and written presentations.
