Mountain Counties Water Resources Association is seeking an independent contractor to fill the role of Executive Director. The Association is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to unite stakeholders to protect and enhance the water resources of the mountain counties of California.
The ideal independent contractor will be an energetic, self-motivated, and dynamic leader who possesses extensive knowledge of the key water issues affecting the mountain counties region, including those related to water resources and watershed management. Established relationships with policy makers and public officials in the mountain counties region is a plus.

About Mountain Counties Water Resources Association
Mountain Counties Water Resources Association is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to unite stakeholders to protect and enhance the water resources of the Mountain Counties of California at the present time and well into the future. The Association provides education and conducts outreach to policy makers and other interested parties on behalf of its members and the region, along with advocacy on important issues affecting Association members. Executive Membership in the Association consists of 27 public entities located throughout the counties of Alpine, Amador, Calaveras, El Dorado, Mariposa, Mono, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sierra, Tuolumne, and Yuba. The organization is governed by a 9-member elected Board of Directors and has an annual operating budget of just over $200,000.
