The Resort Improvement District No. 1 is looking for an experienced wastewater treatment plant operator who is motivated and is willing to grow with us as we experience exciting times in the utility and parks industry.

Must possess a valid California SWRCB issued Grade 1, 2 or 3 Wastewater Operator Certification.
Must live within 1 hour traveling time to Shelter Cove within 6 months of appointment.
Possession of a valid California driver’s license.
Must be able to work nights and weekends and share standby and emergency responsibilities with other field personnel.
Must be physically able to climb ladders, stairs and platforms without restrictions, lift and carry 50 pounds, and pass a physical exam and a drug and alcohol screening.
Must be willing to perform heavy manual labor sometimes in inclement weather.
Must be detailed-oriented.

About Resort Improvement District No. 1
Shelter Cove is a rural unincorporated residential community located in Humboldt County on the Lost Coast of California. The Resort Improvement District No. 1 (RID) is a special-purpose district established in 1965 pursuant to the State of California Public Resource Code Section §13000-13233. The RID was formed for the purpose of installing and maintaining facilities that provide electric, water and sewer services for the Shelter Cove Community. The RID also manages the greenbelt areas within the development, the day use airport and the Shelter Cove Volunteer Fire Department. The RID employs water,
wastewater, electric, parks and safety professionals who provide these diverse services.
