Under policy direction from the Board of Directors, the General Manager directs the daily operations of the District to ensure SFID’s mission is fulfilled to provide its customers with safe and reliable water. The GM represents the District’s interests at local, regional, State and Federal levels; researches and prepares technical and administrative reports and studies; and coordinates activities with outside agencies and the community.
Any combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. This may include 10 years of increasingly responsible administrative and management experience in the management of public water, wastewater, and/or other like public utility facilities AND the equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Civil Engineering, Business or Public Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is highly desirable as is general knowledge of the agencies and regulations involved in the production, distribution, and use of water in the State of California.
Salary: $195,000 to $225,000, DOQ.
