Special District Risk Management Authority (SDRMA) seeks a talented professional to fill the role of Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive/Board of Directors. Under the supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Assistant serves as an integral member of the SDRMA team and performs a wide variety of advanced clerical and administrative tasks.
This position involves:
ensuring the accuracy and integrity of meeting agendas, support materials, and minutes for the Board of Directors;
researching and processing documents and reviewing agreements, contracts, and resolutions for proper format, accuracy, and completeness to ensure consistency with Board action;
coordinating the business and record keeping functions of the Chief Executive Officer and the Board of Directors;
scheduling and maintaining a calendar of activities, meetings, and events for the CEO and Board members;
preparing and/or assembling meeting materials;
coordinating, making, processing, and confirming CEO and Board member travel arrangements, including registrations, transportation, accommodations, and dining/catering, and processing travel-related expense claims; and
assisting the CEO in communication initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Three years of increasingly responsible secretarial and office administrative support experience, including experience assisting management or executive personnel; experience in a local government, JPA, or local government association setting is desirable
High School Diploma or G.E.D. required; a Bachelor’s Degree is desirable
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written), and ability to work effectively with Board of Directors, staff, consultants and wide range of member agencies
Ability to perform multiple tasks and assignments and work well under time deadlines
Be knowledgeable and adept in proficiently using Microsoft Word and Excel software
Be knowledgeable and adept at updating web page content
