Under supervision of the Maintenance Foreman, performs a variety of warehouse shipping and receiving, deliveries, inventory control and tasks related to the wastewater treatment facility in a safe, orderly and professional manner. Assists others in the performance of their tasks.
Performs general shipping and receiving duties.
Works with staff to ensure a high-performance, customer service-oriented work environment, which supports achieving objectives and service expectations.
Delivers, stores and retrieves inventory as required.
Maintains inventory records and assists in the requisition of materials, equipment and supplies.
Maintains Agency inventory computer program.
Participates in performing physical inventories as necessary.
Maintains an organized and clean warehouse.
Performs snow removal, janitorial duties, general clean-up, and routine maintenance on Agency property as directed.
Operates a forklift and/or overhead hoist to relocate supplies or equipment.
Operates a maintenance cart to travel within the plant.
Performs confined space entries to assist mechanics and/or to maintain facilities.
Utilizes a variety of hand and power tools.
Performs routine maintenance on vehicles used for deliveries, inclusive of inspections, fueling, fluid filling, etc. for the purpose of maintaining equipment in a safe operating condition.
Performs routine maintenance on all other equipment used for loading and unloading, and deliveries in order to maintain equipment in a safe operating condition.
Demonstrates attendance sufficient to complete the duties of the position as required.
Assists other personnel as may be required in supporting them in the completion of their work activities.
Collects and distributes materials as necessary to meet requirements and needs of Agency.
Performs hard manual labor.
Participates as part of the snow removal team as needed.
Performs other duties as required.
Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a warehouse performing shipping/receiving/inventory control.
Maintain or obtain CA/NV Driver License Class A (if not performing snow removal duties).
Maintain or obtain CA/NV Driver License CDL Class B with air-brake and tanker endorsements within 12 months (if performing snow removal duties).
Maintain a driving record that enables insurability on Agency policy is required.
CPR/First Aid training. Forklift Operator training.
Hazwoper Technician Level III training.
