Due to the upcoming retirement of the long-term incumbent, the South Tahoe Public Utility District is seeking qualified applicants for the position of General Manager. This position oversees the operation and management of the District, including the supervision and control of all District property, business administration activities, human resources, maintenance and operation of the water distribution system, collection system, wastewater treatment plant, and water reuse program in Alpine County. This is an excellent opportunity to live and work in beautiful Lake Tahoe and support the District’s vision of maintaining a dynamic organization that can quickly and proactively meet an ever increasing environment of regulations and scarce resources.
The ideal candidate will bring a desire to become a visible and collaborative member of the small mountain community in addition to providing strong leadership to a highly skilled team.
The position requires graduation from an accredited college with a degree in engineering, public administration, finance, business, or related field, plus a minimum of ten years management level experience in the water and/or wastewater field.
