The full-time position requires the following knowledge, skill set and abilities: knowledge of water conservation practices and landscape irrigation auditing; ability to perform mathematical computations and maintain effective accounting procedures; ability to track rebate programs, complete reports required by local, state, and Federal agencies, assist with Conservation policy, ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing; ability to carry out assigned projects to their completion with little or no supervision; ability to establish successful working relationships; ability to work with difficult customers and able to interact with the public by giving presentations to large groups.
The position also requires 3 years of work experience in customer service, billing and administration. Possession of certification as a Water Conservation Practitioner from the American Water Works Association is desirable. Possession of a valid California Driver’s License is required. Applicant must be bondable, pass a drug screening test and pre-employment physical.

RIO LINDA/ELVERTA COMMUNITY WATER DISTRICT
The towns of Rio Linda and Elverta are situated in the Northwest corner of Sacramento County in the central valley of California. The towns are in a rural bedroom community located 15 minutes from downtown Sacramento. Lake Tahoe and San Francisco are both 1 ½ hours away from this centrally located community.
The District was created in 1949 and currently serves 4,600 connections. The District is approximately 18 square miles and is only 20% built out.
