Located in the High Desert of Southern California, the Apple Valley Fire Protection District serves a population base of approximately 85,000 residing within its 206 square miles of jurisdiction. The general area population is 300,000. The Fire District offers a full range of emergency services. These services include fire suppression, prevention, rescue, hazardous materials, and emergency medica...l services for advanced life support and basic life support response. The Fire District operates seven fire stations, five of which will be staffed full-time in July 2017. The District also operates a fleet maintenance facility. In 2016, the Fire District responded to over 11,000 calls for service.
