The Executive Officer is a full time, at will employee directly appointed by the LAFCO Commission to manage day-to-day operations. Key responsibilities include preparing special studies relating to efficient delivery of public services, assisting in the resolution of boundary disputes among government agencies, developing and monitoring spheres of influence which define the ultimate service boundary of each city and special district within San Bernardino County and representing San Bernardino LAFCO to local, regional and state agencies. Applicants must have a Bachelor's Degree in Public Policy, Planning, Geography, Political Science, or other related field of study, and a minimum of six years experience with a LAFCO, City Management, County Executive Management or other local government agency.
