The Truckee Donner Public Utility District is a customer-owned electric and water utility located in the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains 15 miles north of Lake Tahoe. We are seeking a qualified Electric Engineer to join our team.
The Electric Engineer performs a variety of professional engineering tasks within the framework of established standards, policies and sound engineering practices. Develops engineering designs, specifications, and cost estimates for the construction of overhead and underground electric power distribution projects.

Qualifications include bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, with an emphasis on power systems, from an accredited college or university. Minimum of two years of increasingly responsible utility or consulting engineering experience. Possession of a Professional Electrical Engineer registration with the State of California or ability to obtain registration within five years. Proficient in Microsoft computer programs (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook) and drafting (AutoCad) and electrical engineering analysis applications.
Additional Salary Information: Position starts at $8,589 to $9,469 per month depending on experience.
