Gold Mountain Community Services District (GMCSD) has a Job opening for a Fire and Emergency Services Coordinator. This is an administrative position working under the supervision of the General Manager. Job responsibilities would include; maintaining cooperative relationships with the agencies responsible for fire and related emergency services to GMCSD , attending pertinent meetings and trainings, reviewing emergency responses to the Gold Mountain community, coordinating training exercises regarding Gold Mountain, assisting in managing District facilities, equipment and personnel relating to its fire and emergency services responsibilities, assisting with fire prevention activities including hazardous fuel treatment (HFT) and the Firewise Program, assisting with delivery of public education on fire and emergency topics, assisting with the management of the agreement for fire and rescue services with the District’s provider, assisting with identifying and seeking grant opportunities, assisting in developing a plan for a long-term or permanent fire and emergency services provider.
Required qualifications are; the ability to communicate effectively, the ability to meet and serve the public courteously, possession of the skills necessary to efficiently use a computer and software to prepare data spreadsheets, perform word processing, perform Internet research, and utilize email communication. Possession and maintenance of the following licenses and certificates: High school diploma, or equivalent, California Driver’s License, and three (3) years’ experience in an increasingly responsible fire agency position.
This is an exempt position not subject to FLSA. This position is considered part-time of approximately 20 to 40 hours per month, hourly paid and is not subject to District benefit policies. Compensation for this position is negotiable based upon qualifications, experience, and education. Offer of employment is contingent upon passing a physical examination and a drug screening test in compliance of the District policy of a drug-free workplace. The Gold Mountain Community Services District for many years has had the pleasure of serving Gold Mountain residents and businesses by providing Water, Sewer, and contracted Fire and Emergency Services. The district encompasses an area defined by the perimeter of Gold Mountain’s 1280 acres.
The CSD is a governmental organization supported by a five-member elected board which sets and upholds C...SD policy. Our Enabling Documents are the California Government Code. The five member Board of Directors is elected by voters registered within the Gold Mountain district.
