Salary: $75,876 - $91,056 annually (currently under review), plus excellent benefits including:

The Rancho Murieta Community Services District provides water, wastewaster, drainage, solid waste collection and security services to the private, gated community of 2500 homes with 6600 residents of Rancho Murieta, which is nestled below the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and is ideally located 25 miles from downtown Sacramento and 16 miles from Elk Grove and Rancho Cordova.
THE POSITION (open until filled): The Rancho Murieta Community Services District (District) is seeking a manager for the Security Department to join our team. Duties of the Security Chief include, but are not limited to, planning, organizing, coordinating and directing the security activities of the District; Consisting of 24/7 manned gates and roving vehicle patrol of residential and commercial area; manage the Security Department staffing (hire/fire); provide supervision and training to staff; formulate, evaluate and make recommendations on policies and procedures affecting provision of security services; interpret, explain, apply and enforce a variety of District Ordinances, HOA rules and regulations; collect and analyze data and prepare both comprehensive and concise reports; make effective presentations to the Board of Directors and General Manager; manage department budget. Information and assistance to the General Manager and Board of Directors; and to perform other job related work as required.
IDEAL CANDIDATE: Management experience, service-oriented, personable, innovative, hands-on team player with a diverse background in the security field, public safety, HOA rule enforcement, and budgeting. Experience with Resident Database Software, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Office Suite, interacting with individuals, community organizations and other government agencies are all highly desirable skills.
REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of five (5) years of broad supervisory and management experience in public and private security; Trained in Section 832 of California Penal Code, Guard and Firearms card and American Red Cross First Aid and CPR certified. Candidates with an Associate of Arts degree or higher, with a major in Police Science or related field or substantial course work in law enforcement will be given additional consideration. Must possess a California Driver’s license.
